How It Works
01 — Tell me about your dog
Start by filling out my inquiry form. I’ll ask a few questions about your dog, what you’re working on, and what you’d like help with.
This gives me a better idea of what you’re looking for before we decide on a program.
02 — We’ll figure out the right fit
I’ll personally review your inquiry and get back to you within 3 business days.
Depending on your goals, I’ll recommend the program I think makes the most sense for you and your dog. If I need more information first, I’ll reach out.
03 — Secure your program
Once we’ve decided on the best fit, I’ll send you an invoice and training agreement.
Payment and a signed agreement are required before your program can be scheduled.
04 — Complete your intake
After your program is secured, you’ll receive a more detailed intake form.
This gives me the background I need to prepare for our first session, so we can spend less time going over the basics and more time actually training.
05 — Get on the calendar
Once your paperwork is complete, we’ll schedule your sessions.
I handle scheduling personally and generally book about a month at a time. This allows me to organize my schedule around location, service area and the type of training each client needs.
If your program extends beyond the current month, we’ll add the remaining sessions as future availability opens.
Why don’t I offer online booking?
Because I don’t believe every dog needs the same thing.
Where we train can matter just as much as what we’re training. Some dogs do best at home, while others benefit from working at my training location in Aldergrove. I also travel throughout the Fraser Valley, so I organize my schedule by location to make the most of our training time.
Having you reach out first also gives me the opportunity to make sure we’re starting with the right program for you and your dog.
What happens after I book?
Before our first session, you’ll receive everything you need to get started, including your intake form and any information specific to your program.
Come to your first session ready to learn, ask questions and put some work in.
Training doesn’t end when our session does. You’ll have things to work on between sessions, and I’ll give you the guidance you need to keep making progress at home.
A little about what I expect from you
The best results come from training that continues outside of our sessions.
You don’t need to be perfect, and you don’t need to have everything figured out before we meet. That’s what I’m here for.
But you do need to be willing to participate.
Your dog is learning all the time, and the things you do between sessions are a big part of how those lessons come together. My job is to give you a clear plan, teach you how to use it, and help you understand your dog along the way.
Where We Train
I primarily work with clients in:
Aldergrove · Langley · Maple Ridge · Pitt Meadows · Mission
Depending on your program and your dog’s needs, sessions may take place in your home or at my training location in Aldergrove.
I also occasionally travel to Port Moody, Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam for an additional travel fee.
